Start getting your taste buds ready with a stop at the Long Grove Confectionery Co. for their amazing retail store to purchase full-price and bulk priced candy products. Just one bite proves why they are an Illinois Made award winner.
For over 50 years, Lambs Farm has serviced the developmentally disabled by empowering them to be the most they can be. Stop by the Visitor Center, meet one of the amazing residents, take some time to shop at the pet store, thrift shop and bakery before heading to lunch at Magnolia Café. The staff will create a lunch with a hint of chocolate to keep the theme. Before getting on the coach, everyone receives a bag of their famous butter cookies, in chocolate of course. Note, Lambs is also an Illinois Made award winner!
Ma & Pa’s Candy in Historic Downtown Long Grove now has a candy making room large enough for about 18 people. Participate in dipping and cotton candy making that everyone can bring home what they made! If your group is larger, divide the group and some shopping over to Broken Bridge Treats as they carry Morkes Chocolates. Signature Popcorn (has great chocolate flavors) and Covered Bridge Creamery. Take in some of the other charming shops of Long Grove as well.
We can assist you with evening entertainment options nearby such as the Marriott Genesee, Citadel Theatres or Ravinia Festival.
Stay overnight at one of our group-friendly hotels then shop at Gurnee Mills. Should you need some more chocolate yumminess to take home, there are the fabulous Frangos® at Macy’s. Your group can meet at Rainforest Café for a specialized lunch menu and end with a chocolate Volcano! Or attend a cannoli-making class on the patio at Tony Cannoli and pre-order cannoli to take home!
This delicious itinerary will leave your group in a happy place as they head back home!
