Brushes, Burgers and Broadway

Let the ride take you...

Day One: Experience an elegant two-hour class at The Village Tavern that includes professional instruction, all materials and a beautiful finished painting to take home!

Stick around The Village Tavern for lunch that includes a Tavern Burger with a choice of cheese, fries, beverage and a gourmet cupcake (includes tax and tip). Substitutions such as broasted chicken, sandwiches and more are available. Note: please avoid weekends (including Friday) for the painting class.

Experience the charm of Long Grove Historic Village and its unique shops and galleries. Dinner is served at the King's Wharf Restaurant. Afterwards, enjoy a fabulous musical at the Marriott Theatre. Rest up at one of our many nearby hotels, including Lincolnshire Marriott Resort, Courtyard Chicago Lincolnshire, SpringHill Suites and Hampton Inn & Suites.

Date Two: Continue your art appreciation with a tour of the Cuneo Mansion and Gardens. The estate houses a collection of fine antiques, paintings by world-famous artists, tapestries, sculptures, silver and porcelain. Next, have lunch in the new banquet room overlooking the beautiful flowering gardens.

The Genesee Theatre is a breathtaking 1920s movie palace that hosted Hollywood premieres for its native-son, Jack Benny. This is a free tour for groups, and once you see it, you'll want to come back for an upcoming performance which includes Broadway shows, concerts, comedians and films.

All that talk of movies can stir up a craving for popcorn. Before heading home, visit The Popcorn Factory for some delicious samplings and shopping for marvelous munching and gifts for home.
