Twirl, Twizzle and Triple Lutz on the Lake County Ice

By: Jonathan Jones 01/29/2021

Did you know that Lake County has over 30 ice skating locations? On a beautiful winter's day, there's no better place to be scooting over frozen water. It is time to make your best U.S. Olympic Figure Skater Bradie Tennell triple axel impression. It's an opportunity to slap shot like Chicago Blackhawk's star Jonathan Toews. Whatever your favorite activity is on the ice, be sure to invite friends and family to create memories on the twirl, twizzle and triple lutz on the Lake County ice.

Before heading out to the ice, there are a few things you need to know! 1. - Always call ahead to make sure that the rink is open 2. – Check the ice conditions on their website at https://www.lcfpd.org/ice-skating.  If there's a weather advisory, it might be a good idea to try an indoor activity, until it clears up a little. (Check out alternative things to do here!) 3. – Bundle up and if you’re skating with little ones, stick to some of the rinks with warming houses.

Feel the breeze at these outdoor rinks.
