Whether you are into getting the living daylights scared out of you or not, Lake County has you covered this weekend.With so many events happening over the course of the weekend and the following days leading up to the holiday, there is no reason to be bored this weekend!

Here are your top things to do this weekend October 27-29.
1. Fright Fest presented by SNICKERS, at Six Flags Great America
Sadly, this is the last weekend for Six Flags Great America’s Fright Fest presented by SNICKERS®. Zombies and ghouls take over the park to thrill attendees. Dubbed as the stuff of nightmares, this adventure takes place throughout the park where you never know what is lurking around each corner as the dark of night washes over the park. Not scared yet? Fright Fest features scare zones, live entertainment, haunted attractions, thrill rides and much more. If you are the type of person that loves being spooked when least expecting it, this is the event for you this weekend.Through Tuesday, October 31; Various times. Admission $35-$50. Six Flags Great America, 1 Great America Pkwy, Gurnee.
2. Final Weekends for Richardson Adventure Farm & Corn Maze / Didier Farms
Also marking their final weekends of the season are both Richardson Adventure Farm & Corn Maze and Didier Farms. Don’t miss your final chance to find your way through the corn maze, pick pumpkins, ride the hayrides, play with farm animals and participate in many other family and kid-friendly activities that embody what autumn has to offer. Richardson Farm stays open till October 29, while Didier Farms closes October 31.Through Tuesday, October 31;Various Times. Admission $1-$16. 3. Svengoolie at the Volo Auto Museum
Svengoolie, the Chicago horror show host and icon, makes his annual appearance at the Volo Auto Museum. Generations of fans have enjoyed the movies and hilarity of Svengoolie since the late '70s! Attendees are able to bring an item to be autographed and pose for a picture by the photographer. This is a fun event for people of all ages. Following Svengoolie’s meet and greet, a magic show will also captivate the attending audience from 2:30-3:30 p.m.Saturday, October 28; 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Admission $9-$15. 4. Antioch's Halloween Fest & Carnival
Each day this weekend, you can find yourself participating in the many activities that the Village of Antioch is hosting, at its annual Halloween Carnival. Attendees will be delighted as the festival features costume contests, spooky ghosts, pumpkin totem pole contest, lights, music and a plethora of carnival rides. Suitable for all ages, and with something new each day, this Halloween-themed event will be a hit for the entire family.Friday-Sunday, October 27-29; Various times. Admission $30. 5. Long Grove Historical Society Ghost Walk
Behind the new brewery and coming from the eerie woods, strange sounds have been heard my many. The Long Grove Historical Society will host its fifth-annual Ghost Walk where attendees will search for what is lurking in the beyond. In time for the haunted holiday, this family-friendly event will take you on a one-hour haunted walk through Historic Downtown Long Grove. Reservations are required.Friday, October 27; 6-9:30 p.m. Admission $5-$10. Historic Downtown Long Grove, 308 Old McHenry Rd., Long Grove.
