Mardi Gras in Lake County

It’s that time of year to let the good times roll.Fat Tuesday at KeyLime Cove Indoor Waterpark Resort Unhitch that belt buckle because it’s time to party for Fat Tuesday New Orleans style in Lake County. Sure you can’t experience Bourbon Street in the Big Easy (and with the way the weather has been all winter, we all wish we could), but you can get a healthy taste Mardi Gras: the Lake County version. Come on out tonight and let’s celebrate by stuffing our faces with delicious Lake County eats and drinks!

KeyLime Cove in Gurnee offers food, drinks and a place for you to lay your head down after you’ve eaten all you can. The packages that KeyLime Cove provide includes admission to Lost Paradise Indoor Waterpark, overnight accommodations in a Queen Deluxe Stateroom and live entertainment. The live performance from Banjo Buddies Dixieland Quartet is sure to get you and your family off your feet. For the kids, the Strolling Magic Show starts at 5:30. Kid’s entertainment also includes face painting, arts and crafts, tilt walkers, a mime, a juggling show and more. There’s no Mardi Gras without a parade! At 8 pm the Sunset Festival Mardi Gras Parade begins and immediately following is the Energy Productions Dance Party from 9 – 11 pm. The KeyLime Cove package stretches until March 4.

Mardi Gras Specials @ Lindy’s

With Fat Tuesday being so early in the week,Cocktail some can’t get out and enjoy the fruits of the holiday due it being a school night (or work night). You can still fulfill your belly’s needs with some Louisiana style cooking at Lindy’s Landing in Wauconda. From today till Saturday February 21 you can enjoy Lindy’s Mardi Gras menu that includes gator bites, gumbo, catfish fingers, Cajun style po’ bouy, bread pudding, paczkis and much more!

Mardi Gras Specials @ the Savanna House

Today’s the last day you can check out the specials that Savanna House has to offer. From lunch to dinner, the Savanna House in Wadsworth boasts their Mardi Gras deals like the Bourbon Street Platters for $16.95 that includes corn bread and king cake. Gumbo and hurricanes are also on special. In the evening you can bask in the atmosphere as Shannon Delacey Jazz graces the stage.

Mardi Gras @ Potawatomi

Giving up a vice for lent? Celebrate it the right way at Potawatomi. The Milwaukee casino includes Cajun food, hurricanes, beats, showgirls, parades, strolling bands, (not to mention a little gambling).
