The Village of Grayslake, established in 1895, is located in central Lake County, approximately forty (40) miles north of the Chicago business "Loop" and fourteen (14) miles west of Lake Michigan. Neighboring communities include Libertyville and Mundelein to the southeast, Gurnee to the east, Lindenhurst to the north, and Round Lake and Round Lake Beach to the west. Gray's Lake, a 78 acre recreational lake, is located within the corporate boundaries of the Village.
