Cuneo Mansion and Gardens Presents Inaugural Jazz Fest
What: Loyola University Chicago's Cuneo Mansion and Gardens welcomes the fall season with its first Jazz Fest on October 13 featuring renowned pianist Anthony Molinaro and others. Come out and enjoy some of the best Jazz artists living today.
Anthony Molinaro, assistant professor of music at Loyola University Chicago, is a gifted composer and classical pianist, giving him a musical dimension uncommon to artists of his generation. In addition, he has won many prestigious awards including the Naumburg Prize and the National Piano Fellowship from the American Pianist Association. Joining Molinaro will be an array of talented Chicago jazz musicians:
Scott Burns, tenor saxophone and jazz band director at Loyola
Victor Garcia, trumpet and music instructor at Loyola
Lorin Cohen, bassist and instructor at the Jazz Ambassador program
Michael Raynor, drummer/percussionist and member of the Dennis Luxion, Michael Raynor Quartet
The lineup will feature original and unique arrangements on music of The Beatles and George Gershwin. Come enjoy the beats and buzz of this year's Jazz festival! Tickets are $20 per person.
