The Lake Villa Historical Society is preparing for the 9thAnnual Lake Villa Civil War Days at Lehmann Mansion, 485 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Lake Villa, Illinois. Daily hours will be:
Saturday, September 17 10:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.
Sunday, September 18 10:00a.m. - 3:30p.m.
Admission is $5.00 per person and includes parking. Mansion tours $5.00 each. A Weekend Pass $10.00 (2 Day Admission and 1 Mansion Tour) is also available online.
This year's family friendly event will commemorate the beginning of the American Civil War:
150th Anniversary 1861-2011 by:
Reenacting the Battle of Bull Run/First Manassas by Union and Confederate Troops on Saturday and Sunday; feature President and Mrs. Abraham Lincoln (also guests of honor at a Saturday night Reception); Generals Grant, Lee, Custer, Thomas; Lehmann Mansion tours which highlight a private collection of 1860s Clothing; Medical Demonstrations/home remedies by Dr. Trevor Steinbaach; Civil War Era Games for Children; Shopping with food vendors and Civil War sutlers; Boy Scout Pancake Breakfast on Sunday; Non-denominational church service and much, much more!!
