As it starts to warm up and Lake County gets into festival season, we just can’t wait to get out of jail free card (or get out of work and school cards) to go play outside in the nice weather.
That being said, a legend is making a stop in Lake County this weekend: Paul Simon is performing at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park. Don’t forget to treat dad to a fun day out in the wild.

- It’s the party of the year in Libertyville: the 2016 Libertyville Days ‘Festival of Heroes.’ From Thursday to Sunday beautiful Downtown Libertyville will be action-packed with fun-tivities including a parade, carnival rides, Church Street Eats, beer garden, arts & craft fair, live entertainment at the main stage and Cook Park and so much more.

- Are you looking to hang with, ‘Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard?’ Now here’s your chance as the legend himself Paul Simon is performing at Ravinia Festival. This poet was inducted in the 2001 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class, and has received a total of 12 Grammy Awards (some of them alongside Art Garfunkel). - Craving some memories? Watch your past come back to life as Zion hosts their 30th Annual Nostalgia Days at Shiloh Park. Enjoy live music, an antique custom car show and cruise, outdoor movies, a carnival, a climbing wall, laser tag, delicious dining from vendors, games and fun for the entire family.

- The 21st Annual Art Fest in Grayslake promises to be a day of fine art, entertainment and great food from local food vendors. Over 60 artists will be present from all around the Midwest selling art like pottery, watercolor, oil and pastel painting, pen and ink drawing, wood, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry and more.
