By: Jonathan Jones 03/23/2017

Spring is here in Lake County. Plus, we go into week two of March Madness this weekend. My brackets are all busted (if you wanted to know...thanks Villanova).

Also the weather is supposed to be much warmer this weekend. Perfect time for those who's Spring Break is beginning this weekend.

So as you can see, there are plenty of things to do this weekend March 24-26. Here's your top 5.

1. Seventh Annual Free Throw Challenge

Libertyville Sports Complex plans to test your percentages at the free stripe as they host the 7th Annual Free Throw Challenge. Friday is the final day you can qualify for the finals. The finalists will be determined that evening. The challenge is divided into groups by grades and ages; Grades 3rd grade to High School, Adult (Men and Women age 18+, Age 30+ and Seniors 55+). Each competitor gets 10 free throw shots and the top five scorers advance to the Championship. The Libertyville hardwood competition will end March 24 and the finals will be held April 2. A waiver must be signed to compete. Can you shoot a better free throw than 2017’s top NBA active free throw shooter Paul George? Friday, March 24; 5 a.m.- 9 p.m. Admission: $5. Libertyville Sports Complex, corner of Peterson Road and U.S. Highway 45. Libertyville.
