Christmas Tree Lightings in LC

The holiday season rapidly approaches and there are plenty of Christmas tree lightings in LC '16.

Which while we're on the subject, Chicago is getting a little help from Lake County in the tree department. Wauconda residents Bill and Margie Scholla donated their tree for the official Millennium Park Christmas tree.

The tree breed is a 69-foot Norway Spruce. The family's tree was chosen from a pool of 120 submissions and will be decorated with 48,375 lights. Continue here to learn more about the tree.

This is a quote about Christmas trees (and for some Christmas trains) by Andy Rooney, "The Christmas tree is a symbol of love, not money. There's a kind of glory to them when they're all lit up that exceeds anything all the money in the world could buy."

So without further adieu, here are your Christmas tree lightings in LC '16
