Lake County is known for its natural beauty.  There's no better way to show our surrounding nature how much it means to us than taking care of it.  The Lake County Forest Preserve has a whole week of events to celebrate Earth Day, and they include everything from bird watching to a Des Plaines River clean up.

Earth Week includes so many different kinds of opportunities for kids and adults. Join with volunteer workdays, interactive programs and entertaining presentations. Learn about local wildlife and environmentally friendly living. Some programs will feature live animals while some may take you outside.  There's something for everyone!
